LR Progress: Revision 2.0 - Flow & M-R
(title: Spirit Dancer)

3,667 / 22,000(16.67%)

Starting this revision took a bit longer than usual. At first, I kept revising first three pages over and over. So after twenty minutes of wasting my precious lunch hour, I decided to follow the 'system' I had set up for critiquing other people's work.

  1. I divided the story into three manageable chunks and saved them as text files. (around 6000 words)
  2. I opened it using a simple notepad, which I had been using for other critique works.
  3. Line by line, sentence by sentence, I mark where to focus, where to fix if something feels wrong.
  4. If there is a clear solution, then I write a sentence or two as a possible replacement.
So far, it's working. I think I'm moving much faster and I've also caught more errors this way.

When I put the three pieces together and apply the changes in the open office, I'll focus on the M-R units.

I'm also changing the color scheme. Draft, Gold. Revision, Yellow. Perhaps I'll start with LemonChiffon then to DarkKhaki.
