I really have not been motivated to update my journal in quite awhile. Sorry?
Anyway, I have been pretty busy. Last Tuesday Jaimer and I were taken to Great Adventure by Jaclyn so that we could have an awesome roller coaster day. Besides the extreme heat and the biscuit pizza, though it was awesome even if we couldn't ride El Toro. Why? Because we got to get on Kingda Ka and I once again and claim to have ridden the tallest fastest roller coaster in the world. Life is good. We did have a great time just like always, despite the rude foreigners and dirty New Yorkers/Jersey trash staring at our sweaty boobs.
Work, like I said, has been mostly answering phones and calling people to get them to preorder. I should be way more busy this week though as people finally have their damn schedules (myself included, but that's another story). Yay for that, hopefully Rob, Amanda, Lindsey and I have more amusing antics.
Chels came down on Monday for a fun visit; we watched soaps with Meg and went to lunch with just about everyone at Double Decker's (uh, yum) and then on Tuesday we went to the beach with my family. Which beach? Why, the delightfully trashy but ever exciting Wildwood, of course! We stayed down in the Crest this year but had a great time tanning, paroozing the boardwalk, shopping, and even riding the Great White once. I got to wear my new sexy bathing suits which was a huge plus and we saw a lot of soaps and Dr. Phil. Bring It On was even on tv when we went down.
Today I got up early and took Chels to the Ridely train station and returned home myself to collapse for a few hours. Tonight I had a bunch of people over, including the elusive Erin Tustin, who I missed like crazy all summer. We watched the Gamers, which I've now seen in its entirety, and it was awesome. We also popped in BRII which makes even less sense now that I've seen the whole thing. Beat Takeshi rip-off just wants to play rugby? What?
Been rocking out the Gameboy lately like there's no tomorrow and it's been rather satisfying. Sometimes I forget the simple pleasures of mashing a D-pad and buttons while in the car or on the beach or in my spaghetti. Look out, Matt, I'm coming for your ass. Also the N64 has returned to my good graces as I've set it up in my room and have been breaking out all my old faves to play, including a massive Mario Party 2 session with Chels last weekend.
We're approaching that time of year where summer and fall start to blend. There's back to school stuff everywhere, the weather is sometimes (like today) really cool, the sun takes a weirder angle in the afternoon...but then again, in the morning it's the strong summer sunlight we know and love, there's still blisteringly hot and humid days, and you're still going on vacation or sitting on your ass when you're not at work. This isn't as troubling now since I like going back to school, and summer's appeal sort of gets deflated once you enter the workforce. It's still fun though, and I was thinking about being a kid and being all excited to go to Lewes or Rehobeth this time of year. Maybe I should hit that up soon.
Ok kids, peace out, I'm tired.
