Ah.
Almost done with the Sev forever. After coming home and working there for two days I concluded that I cannot handle it for another week and a half and so I told Sam that this Sunday will be the last day I can work for him. I hope he realizes that it's forever. And this Sunday, not next. He's not too quick on things that don't benefit him.
Anyway, it's been a pretty awesome summer so far. Last weekend I hung out with the girlies and chilled, went to the beach to visit the Grabowskis, and hit up Kim's graduation party. On Monday I didn't do much besides try and hook up my printer/scanner and find my USB key, but on Tuesday I say "Screw the man!" and went over to Liz's to watch Crash with Megan and Kenny. It was so good I stayed until the very end, and I'm glad I went so that I could hang out with them. Last night I went over to the Neeson's to spend time with Timmy since I didn't see him on his birthday proper and we talked, laughed, and looked at pictures from his Mexico trip. I love that kid.
D&D starts this weekend which I am way excited for; Mike's DMing this time and apparantly he's cooked up a sweet campaign for us. We also proved we were big nerds by making a pokemon analogy for our party (Chris as a psionic would be like a Mewtwo in an otherwise normal party...I was the vulpix). Last summer that was one of the things that kept me sane and happy. Mayhaps we could get another scavenger hunt together before the summer closes.
So the other day I was thinking about how I see summertime and how it's different every year. Like one year it was all about the Lion King and spending time with Cousin Kate; another it was about playing softball and volleyball in the backyard; once it was about having cookouts with the Kesslers; once it was about renting Banjo-Kazooie every week; another time it was about reading horrible fanfiction and listening to my CD player while I swung on the swingset Dad randomly took down last year; once it was about getting in our pool every chance we got; for a few years it had a lot to do with bowling and the awful lunches they served; I can remember a summer all about Puppy in my Pockets; last summer was the Chi Ave seven eleven and God of War to work out frustration and friends and D&D.
Well, here's to this summer, and let's hope it's as awesome as some of the others in there. :)
