"Quit Snoopin' Around!"

Ah, life's good now that most of my major stuff is over with. Wednesday, though not compeletly great, was pretty good. Matt skipped out on Japanese, and so I chatted up the rest of the class. They're all really cool people and fun to hang out with. Lena gave me some of this Japanese candy that's the equivalent to starburst, only it tastes better and doesn't stick to your teeth. Later in the day I caught up with Weaver-san and we hit up the Kobe meeting together. I was a bit discouraged since an extra $3000 is tacked onto the price now, but we'll see how much money I can accrue before I give up compeletely. Miller-sensei's a funny guy and I haven't talked to him in awhile, so it was good to hear from him. Basically the meeting degenerated after about half an hour into Lena and I telling everyone how crazy Fruman is. Haha, good times. Later that night I had an English Honor Society meeting, where most of the people there are really funny and nice too. Plus we had cookies and cider, and I signed up to help with the newsletter and go on a short trip to DuPont to make little children's books for kids.

Later, I got back, did a ton of work, and watched AJ play Call of Chuthulu for awhile. That game has brought him nothing but heartache, but it is pretty cool. He'd hoped to learn something about the elder god mythos from playing, but so far all we know is that the townspeople don't like outsiders and you shouldn't snoop around. The one constable has this hilarious voice where all his words smush together in a kind of growl/whine that makes for hilarious impressions. However, it has a weird blend of horror, kind of somewhere between Resident Evil 4 and Silent Hill. Well, it's not quite as bad as Silent Hill, since there's no fog and the only children we've run across so far don't seem so bad.

I got Soul Caliber III the other day, which is an awesome game, and we've all made our own characters in the creation mode. Except for a little bit of clunky handling, it's an extremely fun game and I haven't even plumbed the depths of it yet.

Tuesday night (which I realize should have come before Monday) AJ, the birthday boy, convinced Matt and I to go see Saw 2. It wasn't too bad, actually, pretty entertaining. I wrote a review on my xanga if you want to know what I thought of it in more detail. Hmm, it's almost time to change the background on that...

Anyway, this afternoon, Matt redownloaded iTunes for me, which is much better than Windows Media Player, and Dave and Adam let me borrow some CDs to copy. Hizzaa! Since it's been awhile since I've had iTunes, all I have right now is Black Label Society, David Bowie, Captain Beefheart, and Firey Furnaces. I also have Morbid Angel, which Matt put on while I wasn't looking. So yay.

Man, I'm tired and glad we're not venturing out tonight. It's cold, too. Samukunarimashitayo. I need a nap.

Anyway, so today wasn't too bad: I turned in my final D'Mell paper, got most of my course selection done (complete with alternates, even!), took my bio exam, and had a rip roaring good time in Japanese. It's now a running joke for the whole class that Inoue won't put Matt and I together. I normally don't care, because, like I said, I like everyone but Fruman. Yesterday we did some weird psuedo-Secret Santa thing to practice how to say the various forms of giving and receiving, which caused some confusion. I got pretty clothes from Kim-san, but poor Matt got stuck with love from Fruman. Haha.

Tonight Anna, Chels, and I are heading to the Scrounge to see Steph perform in a show one of the groups she's in is putting on.

Let's see, anything else? The guys' RA said he'd give me a copy of the subbed Advent Children DVD he has. Also, I'm having my T-bone steak tonight for dinner at some point. Hmmm, I want to see the FFVII OVAs now. I guess that's it now.

Okay, see ya!
