Football Fairies on TV

Okay. So I'm as ready to go as I can be.

Last night I caught the Olympic closing ceremonies with my parents, which were nice. I've been a lot more invested in the Olympics this year because I'm feeling more national pride knowing that I'm leaving the country. Hung with Jaime a bit and watched some Holmes Inspection (wish it had been Income Property, but hey) and got up at 4:20 this morning to say good-bye to her and Joe as they were going to Vegas.

Got up later at 8 and went to go see Aunt Skinner and get a flu shot before I left, then hit up Ridley High with Mom for a bit to run an errand and grabbed some breakfast at Papas (banana chocolate chip pancakes!). After that we came home and I practiced my lesson some, before heading down to Trolley Square to see Eddie and grab some sweet pizza for lunch (chipotle pizza!).

From there I came home, practiced my lesson some more, and Mom and I weighed my suitcases. One is overweight by a few pounds and the other is just under. I had to take out a lot of stuff to get it to that point, which was really annoying, and I ended up calling the airline to complain that there isn't a different class of weight allowances for people who are moving as opposed to going on vacation. Just ridiculous.

Dad got home around then and we had dinner (inside outs!) and started packing up my computer. I got several calls from Uncle Tom, Aunt Sheila, Roomie, and texts from Brother B, Jac, and others. Timmy came by for the final stages of the computer packing, and I think that all four of us did a damn good job. Everything's wrapped in anti-static bubble wrap, cardboard, stretch plastic, and then surrounded by more bubble wrap and packing peanuts. Shit's totally tight and hopefully nothing will break while being shipped. Though even if it does, I backed up the computer twice.

Tim and I then spent a couple hours playing Warioware on the Wii, which was my fun reminder for today of why I love Japan.

Going to take a shower at 11 and change into my travlin' clothes, then practice my lesson a few more times until Linh stops by at 3:30.

Time to get going, I suppose. I'll update again with a link to my travel blog and updates once I'm on the other side.
