I Am Just Rubbish at Updating on Saturdays, Aren't I?

Got my visa back in the mail today...too bad the expiration date is wrong, meaning I had to send and email and will have to call the consulate to figure out how to get it fixed first thing Monday. Urgh.

Went to Old Navy today to pick up some undershirts and stuff, and then went to the deli to get lunchmeat and scope out some catering food for the party next Friday. There was some sort of confusing and upsetting altercation between a young girl and an old woman regarding a parking space while we were there, too.

At 3, Linh picked me up and we headed to Sensei's. We got there about twenty minutes early, so we sat and watched the Olympic volleyball match with her for awhile, playing with Jessie the dog, and then we spent the next hour or so cooking a giant dinner: hamburg, tonkatsu, kyuuri, kabocha, cauliflower, rice, and various sauces and toppings. Sensei's son, Lucas/Katsu, and two of his friends stopped by, and they were pretty nice.

After dinner, we ate the desserts Linh and I brought: brownies from me and rollo cookies from Linh. And also roll cake from H Mart.

We talked about anything and everything, and Sensei was just so proud and encouraging to both of us. She wanted to know what was up with everyone, and asked questions about what was going on with our respective jobs and so on, and asking us for quotes to use about telling people about Soka (since it's the more academically prestigious of the programs and not a lot of the UD students get to hear about it since Soka peeps come back and then immediately graduate).

<3 x infinity for Inoue-sensei.

She said that next time we should get Sato-sensei in on the fun as well, though sadly I probably won't be around for that. Which is sad times, as she's the only one who will drink beer with me. Either way, I had a great 8 hours at Sensei's tonight, and I feel better about the whole moving thing.
