It's Two Days Before Christmas

And three before I leave for Japan, and I still have two gifts to buy, several omiyage to assemble, and I just started packing tonight.

I'm a fucking mess.

Hung out with Meghan tonight at the Burland abode, which was awesome. Got to catch up with Mare, and see the wonderful dog pack, and watch Bridal Day tv shows, as well as some Wheel of Fortune (you represent Philly, Tyrique!).

In daily news, work went by pretty quickly and productively today. Very quiet, very mellow, and my old supervisor Mark the New Zealander showed up for a few minutes. I told more than one person that I was going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow, and had a fun exchange with one guy:

Jess: Don't send your documents to me directly; I go on vacation tomorrow for two weeks.
Guy: So you won't have access to your email.
Jess: No. I'm not even going to be in the country.
Guy: Where are you going?
Jess: Japan.
Guy: Are you coming back?
Jess: ...this time.
