Back to Being Social
After a few empty weekends of being a 引きこもり, this week I'm all about doing shit with peeps.
Yesterday I went swimming at the Y for about an hour with Linh, and it was so much fun. Jesus, I forgot how good it feels to swim, and feel all weightless and buoyant in the water.
After that we went to Red Lobster, stuffed ourselves silly, and then wandered around Concord Mall, mourning the fact that we don't know Rach's interests as well as we thought.
Today after work (which doesn't warrant much mention...we did a report so the day was fast but grueling) I made great time getting to Anna's, where she'd made me spaghetti and veggies, and we drank white wine and talked and I saw her parents and her aunt and uncle and her dad's old friend. Later Julia came over too and we at Jewish apple cake and sampled Anna's award winning cupcakes and watched some Sex and the City.
Still later, Greg and his buddy came home from happy hour and we all hung out in Greg's apartment, watching Tomizio the cat rip apart the place and paroozing Netflix. Around quarter after one I left and came home, and when I got out of the car (following a pretty bitchin' fiver on B101's Christmas marathon) I noticed how fucking bright it is outside. Like, damn. It looks like 4 a.m. on a Japanese winter.
