But for serious; sometimes I want to be able to at a glance tell someone's Japanese level. This is usually pretty easy to do in person, but on the internet, shit gets tricky. A lot of times it's people getting lucky with an online translation tool, which is a waste of my time. I want to be able to weed out the people serious about learning from the otaku, and that's difficult to do via a digital medium such as this.
I think my dad forgot about the electric Christmas candles. Yay! That means I can keep them on till I go to bed! There's two in my room (one for each window) so I don't even need to turn on lamps. Hella sweet.
Surprises Bestowed Tonight by B101's Nonstop Christmas Jams: 1) my brain recognized "Christmas Wrapping" before I did, and also holy shit it was on the radio and not being played obsessively by my father (who I assumed was the sole surviving fan of The Waitresses); 2) "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" is a gleefully horrible song and I love it.
