Scary and Nice...Just Like Santa Claus
Saw Despicable Me last night and was pretty pleasantly surprised. I really loved the girls the best--they're freaking adorable. And we all know I have a weakness to trios of girls (particularly if they're orphans).
Also, I'm so happy that the film answered the question that had been burning in my mind for a long time: What exactly is in Eastern Hokkaido?
Apparently secret research facilities where they develop things like shrink rays, of course.
I know it probably wasn't intentional, since elephants are just massive creatures on their own and good for illustrating the purposes of a shrink ray, but I've decided that whoever came up with that scene is a Murakami fan.
