I finally got to see Fantastic Mr. Fox, and I was pretty happy with it. Sure, there was a bunch of stuff Wes Anderson added, like the teenage angst in Ash, but it did keep that same desperate struggle for survival I liked about the book.
It's so nice to have something from my childhood remade in a way that doesn't deviate from what the original meant to me (like Wild Things, which I liked but had a very different feel than the book did) or suck in general (like pretty much everything else).
