For Mike
In the first one I had a hard time deciding how to translate the final panel. In Japanese, the word means "demolish" but the kanji mean literally to crush into powder which fits the sense better. Also, the trainer's tone is way more disapproving, but I'm not sure how to translate ～やがる without him cursing--plus it doesn't fit his facial expression. I had a ball using different fonts for sound effects though.
The second comic was a little difficult too but I think I got the general atmosphere. The kanji on the back of her bike aren't a coherent word, by the way, but together they mean "sleeping thief girl."
Matt and I had dinner at the Parker Pub tonight. It was pretty awesome; it's a place for locals, and even though we weren't regulars (yet), the bartender would provide us with fresh beers when ours got low and gave prompt, good service.
Wings and beer make me miss college though.
