So following my lovely display of dissipation in West Chester on Friday with the usual suspects, Saturday was a little less than enjoyable for a good portion of the day.
Friday night consisted of many Heineken, a beer tower of Bud, and then an ill-advised Long Island Iced Tea complete with retarded dancing (you know I'm wrecked when I'm dancing). By the time Eddie dropped me back off at the house, I was feeling nauseous and couldn't contain myself all the way to the bathroom. So I puked on my parents' front lawn. I'm pretty sure the last time I did that was about twelve years ago because I ingested too much candy. The toilet didn't feel left out though as I threw up there a couple times as well. Mom was pretty cool about it, and just chose to make fun of me the next day.
Saturday I woke up at 8 to my alarm and then couldn't fall back asleep. I decided to go downstairs and do some laundry and nurse my headache/stomachache for most of the day. Our trip to Tony's BBQ was considerably shortened, especially since my mother was also feeling ill.
I've gone through all of my stuff from school and it's repacked into plastic tubs that are mostly in the attic now. My room looks a lot cleaner, and more homey than it has in ages, thanks to the shelves I adore and me hanging up my Japan calendar (July is the month of Fuji-san, apparently). Mom and I organized underneath my beds, too, so now all that's under there is as follows:
Under bed I sleep in: one container of random stuff such as Pokemon gameboy game boxes, and blank CD/DVDs. Soon I will put my collection of VHS tapes under there as well once I have a little box for them.
Under bed I use as a giant table: my long, flat art supplies box (filled with Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, sketchbooks, bristol board, and folders of sketches <----this means I can start doing Trent again as I've found the scripts), and another stack of art stuff including my shodo kit, a nice wooden set of art supplies (charcoal, paints--both acrylic and oil--more pencils, pastels, etc. It's a really, really nice set), and a sketching tablet of rough paper that's way too wide to fit into the other container.
After that I feel like going on a Dick Blick shopping spree.
Tonikaku, I commandeered the N64 yesterday following a two hour nap when I woke up to find everyone gone and played some one player puzzles in Bust a Move. Talk about soothing nostalgia; I used to waste hours upon hours going through those things. And I got to hear my favorite song again multiple times.
Basically, it was just a very rewarding summer day to myself, with the exception of the party and the hangover.
Last night I went over to the Burlands' to hang with Meg, Brendan and Sara Hill. Liz and Allison joined later for some hilarious times (see title) and Brendan had a night sort of like the one I had Friday. We relived some good old times, recounted some funny old stories, and learned the whereabouts of people we used to know ("I dunno, yo. I really like her. I mean, I only cheated five or six times."). Meg and I took a trip to Wendy's and watched some GH but we had to give up around 12:30 because we were both exhausted.
Today is the MEAT PLACE with Jaime, Greg, and Matt, and tomorrow is Leslie's 22nd birthday. Hizzaa!
