Oh Dizzam

First of all, another Happy Belated Birthday to Chip, and I'm sorry again I couldn't come to Shaggy's with you; I was sort of stranded in Towne Court, since no buses run on the weekends (and everyone with cars was already intoxicated).

So you heard about the crowning event of Friday night, but I did not yet mention that for the first time in probably almost a year, I attended a full-fledged college house party. And since Chip knew the renters, we got free cups. It was actually really fun, probably because I hadn't done it in awhile, and I'm sad I had to leave relatively early (and that I didn't get to see Dave at all except during this weird moment at work on Friday).

Saturday I was at Lieberman's for most of the day, but we really didn't do a whole lot as far as work went. I bought a book of short stories set in the Ringu universe by Koji Suzuki for some lovely pleasure reading; they're about the three main female characters, two of which I particularly love. :D

After work Anna dropped me off at Leslie and Cassie's and we hung out for a few hours like we'd be saying we'd do all week. Their apartment (also in the same complex as Matt's) is adorable and I love their roommate Beth as well. They bought me dinner, which was nice, and I'm returning the favor tomorrow after Hutchinson's class cause I DON'T HAVE WORK! Amazing. Anyway, we ate Chinese and watched Gargoyles on DVD and hunted down hilarious internet videos long into the night. Matt got home and we hit up the liquor store and Wawa, and later Adam and Kelly brought over the surprisingly moralistic grindhouse film "Cannibal Holocaust" which was rather interesting and an ironic exercise in animal cruelty (the pig and muskrat I didn't care about, but I felt bad for the turtle). I talked to Lieb's peeps who were over at Lindsay's for a little bit and then passed out because I was exhausted.

I spent the night at Matt's because Towne Court is a trap that you cannot escape from without a motor vehicle. And also for other reasons, but mostly that. I woke up around noon thirty on Sunday, which was a beautiful day I didn't have to work during. Matt took me grocery shopping and we met up with his cable repair man, and Fischgrund and Adam stopped by for a little bit as well. After at two hour nap on the couch, Matt woke me up and we went to go see Superbad, which was fucking hilarious. I think what I liked best was how honest it was: the kids all looked like actual high school kids (no matter how young that appears to me now); the town and high school looked like places where people I've actually known have lived and gone to school; even the liquor store was appropriately sketch. And the college house party brought back some amusing memories.

That night we came back to Matt's and drank some more while playing video games (I want him to let me have a go at Psychonauts), and I did drawings and tried in vain to cuddle. Again, because Matt'd been drinking, I stayed over there. I want to note here that there was no internet at his apartment because he can't figure out his wireless router, much in the same fashion as the Beasley fam couldn't when we set ours up.

Today I got home around 1 to throw in some laundry and start homework, only to find out that the Blue Rocks game the Beer Team was supposed to be going to was a day game. So it ended up just being me, Eddie, Binh and Benjamin, though I did get to visit with Roomie a bit since her sorority was doing a fundraiser there. After I got back I headed out to the green to mess around with Adam, Kelly, Greg and Tony (aka naked guy), which reminded me of something I'd forgotten since I graduated from high school gym: I really, really suck at football. It was a lot of fun though and exercise won't kill me.

Ok, I'm off to tend my pasta, which is linguine and not spaghetti which makes me D:

Also, I need to deposit the almost $1000 worth of paychecks on my desk.
