This song came up on the Launch station (adult alternative) I was listening to, and I thought, "Hmmm, this song isn't too bad..." in my opinion, of course--I don't really care if you think my taste is a bit off. Anyway, like more than 50 percent of the time, I can't understand fully what the words to the song are as they're being sung until I read the lyrics off the internet or something. Anyway, after I read the lyrics to this song, which is "Lightning Crashes" by Live, it sort of disappointed me. I listened to the song several times afterward, but the image of a woman going through labor and a dead baby remains in my head. ARGHHH.
Anyway, I was really wondering if the chorus was about contractions, which would be really odd because it's a guy singing the song. The chorus:
oh I feel it comin' back again
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind
forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it.
lightning crashes, a new mother cries
her placenta falls to the floor
the angel opens her eyes
the confusion sets in
before the doctor can even close the door
lightning crashes, an old mother dies
her intentions fall to the floor
the angel closes her eyes
the confusion that was hers
belongs now, to the baby down the hall
oh I feel it comin' back again
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind
forces pullin' from the center of the earth again
i can feel it.
lightning crashes, a new mother cries
this moment she's been waiting for
the angel opens her eyes
pale blue colored iris, presents the circle
and puts the glory out to hide, hide
oh i feel it comin back again
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind
forces pulli froom the center of the earth again
i feel it, i can feel it
And here's the music video.
Sooo...contractions or no contractions?
