I wonder what it will be like when they grow up and they are still tatooed with stuff that used to mean something and serves now no purpose

and pierced full of holes and tiny little invisible scars from those that would heal

and ears gapping with the holes they punched into them, forever dangling limp and grotesque

i think about this everytime i'm tempted to get a tattoo. part of me wishes i was more spontaneous and whimsical, but the truth is, i'm always going to be totally neurotic and analytical and will never do anything without being absolutely sure it's what i want to do.
