(no subject)
I just realized my comment settings were set to 'friends only'. Oops! I highly doubt many people randomly found my journal and were disappointed they couldn't comment on my oh-so inspirational ... erm whiney posts. I must have been feeling quite reclusive awhile back. I swear I'm not that much of a snob :p ... tis fixed now.
Anyway ... it was supposed to snow tonight. Where's the dang snow already?! Instead of snow, I've been up with a sick dog. Poor Jake. He's such a sweet doofus. He must have eaten something nasty in the yard ... again. I love that dog, but wish he had a little more common sense. Aye.
In my last update post, I forgot to mention that I'm volunteering again with the stray doggies. The Saturday morning shift needed help, so I signed up. Unfortunately, I have to be there at 7:30 am on the day that used to be my sleep in day. However, it does work out better than my previous noon shift. Noon meant I could sleep in, but it also cut right into the middle of my day. I was ready to do stuff about 10:30, but there was never enough time to go out and do stuff, come home and change, then drive to the shelter in that hour and a half. Plus, the shift lasted until 3pm ... so the day was pretty much spent. Now, I'm home at 10am.
At the shelter, there are currently two litters of puppies. One actually has a k-9 'foster' mommy. Their mom was so malnourished she couldn't feed them so another dog that had recently had puppies adopted them. It's so sweet. Ironically, we might be dog-sitting for their biological mom over Christmas while her human foster dad is out-of-town. So many furballs in my life and I love it :D
ETA - It IS snowing! The flakes are so light I hadn't noticed, but my car is already covered.
ETA2 - Agh! I hate typos. I've already edited this post a couple of time and I keep seeing more mispellings and such. Perhaps, I should try to go back to sleep.
