On a Seattle startups mailing list, someone started a discussion about what to look for in a co-founder. Amidst items like "launched at least one product for a previous company," there was:

* Does not set off 'creep' detector in female co-workers.
* Interacts with female co-workers in a social setting in a non-asshole way.

I am reasonably certain that a woman co-founder who creeped out other women, or who could only interact socially with other women in an asshole-y way would make an undesirable cofounder.

They do exist. Really. Altho it makes me sad that they do.

Some ppl think progress means 'pretend stuff isn't wrong'. All the women in the situation know what 'make sure the men aren't creepy w women' means without having to say no we mean PEOPLE being creepy w other PEOPLE.
