I have midterms and junk this week, but I did get a chance to see what is going on in the hockey world and yeah I saw a Devils game from start to finish for once this season.
First my thoughts about the game, they play Dallas and that Douche Hound Sean Avery was playing and was pretty much a non factor. I think David Clarkson is now climbing in my favorite Devils list. Best moment of the game was when Clarkson was trying to get Avery to fight him. He dropped his stick and was loosing his gloves it was funny. Avery didn't want anything to do with him and just skated off. O yeah Clarkson also pulled a move that I never thought he could do and scored a goal. Devils won 5-0 (no really its not a typo) and now Brodeur is about 6 shutouts away from a record and I think 9 wins away from another record...ugh too lazy to check lol.
Looking at the standings now...ugh even though the Rags played more games its still sickning to see them on top of the NHL. I can't believe that the Flyers are still winless and at the basement of the of the NHL...well average goaltending and a inexperienced Captain leading the team hmmm....well I didn't think the Isles would be better. Another shocker is the Pacific Division. With the exception of the Sharks who are on a fucking tear (rare as fuck, they usually come out of the gates slow) all the other teams are rivialing the Southeast Division in suckyness. Teams like Dallas and the Ducks with the team they have should be good, but they are getting their asses handed to them. LA and PHX well..it was expected that they would suck. Take a look at the Pacific Division standings:
Sharks pts 12
Stars pts 5
Kings pts 4
Coyotes pts 4
Ducks pts 4
I was being nice and not put the wins and loses on there but really it must be the most lob sided division right now. No the Sharks did not go overseas and they've all played about the same amount of games. I guess I shouldn't complain it just means the Sharks will be 1-3....if this trend continues.
Ok so next section is going to LJ cut and its going to be the final standings according to me, NHL 09, and John Buccigross of ESPN. I know cheesy but I'm bored so deal with it lol.
