Bring it on baby, I'm ready for anything!
Today I took Brittany to Crossgates Mall in Albany. She's only been there once so I figured it'd be nice to bring her and see the sights. We first went to HVM to get me some sunglasses and they rock. WRX blue baby works with everything and I'll get pics up soon. So after a little while in the arcade to say hi to Jimmy and Keith, we went to Best Buy to say hi to Adam. After that on we went to Albany. On the way there we talked, she listed to Kiss FM and my ipod and played Tekken on my PSP. We made a quick stop to the Starbucks rest stop and goddamn that Carmel Frappachino rocks! Brittany took a sip and was hooked as well.
Got to x-gates at around 5pm and we walked around lookng for a place so I could buy a button t-shirt. We got to the cinemas and I saw the best game ever. Time Crisis 4! That is not a typo, Albany has Time Crisis 4. One of the things I wanted to do was to play a co-op game with Brittany and this was the perfect opportunity to do it. I had to explain the basics of the game, but she caught on quickly. The first game again I died first, but she died a little bit after. We then walked up the broken escalator and went to the arcade. No one was playing Tekken 5:DR so I spotted the Time Crisis 4 machine again and I decided to give it another go with Brittany and so with $2 each we tried again and well she didn't do as well as me this time, but I got to see one of the new features of the game. You have to hold off the enemy coming from different directions for 30 sec. There was one with only 2 screens that you had to go back and forth which wasn't so bad. Then there was a 3 screen which I barely made out alive since I had 1 man left. Really fuckin crazy if you are playing solo. The game is fuckin sweet though, I can't wait til K-town gets it. We played some air hockey after that and I won again 7-2 and so I'm still perfect vs her....I wonder how she does in foosball...Some kid was playing DDR with a salsa type song and so Brittany tried to teach me to dance without arrows and it was well rough. I think I kinda got it at some point, but still a lot of work to do. This got me to play a game of DDR Extreme (cue omg sound effect). I played True (radio edit), Lets Groove, and Butterfly which I got a B,A,and B so not bad for a guy that hasn't played in a long time. Mildly winded I went and got us both drinks and then a serious moment hit.
We both sat at this river rafting game and we were ripping this game appart. We pointed out that the way the raft dropped off the waterfall it was impossible and the the raft was filled with water so there was no way that raft should be floating. Now I can't go into great detail on what we talked about, but I'll say that I did lower my shield and try to let her in. It was one of those moments where you look into her eyes and really take in all that shes saying and it was different from any other time we've talked. Lets just say I can't wait til shes 19 heh...I hope we have more moments like that. It was kool.
At some point we got out of that mood and when into arm wrestling mode and mercy mode. It didn't work well on the raft game, so we went to one of the tables in the food court and we did the arm wrestling and the mercy. Went back into the arcade and saw Paul and right away we went to play Tekken. I got him a few games and he got me a few games, but I did get noticeably better vs him atleast. Brittany played a game against some kid and we both shook our heads and I said "I know...I know..." I played $5 worth of Tekken and at the halfway mark I saw Brittany on the raft game looking extremely bored. I went to her and asked her if she wanted to go. She let me finish off the rest of my tokens and I thanked her. Got through the rest of my games and she actually fell asleep on the machine.
Walked around some more and we finally found a Zumiez and a Pac Sun. First we went into Zumiez and there were some interesting characters working there. I found a nice pair of shorts but I didn't realize that they were size 31 until I got into the dressing room -.-; So we went into Pac Sun and Brittany found a nice button shirt, but it lacked something. Then we went to DEB where it was pink and bright as hell. She wanted me to give an opinon on something and I replied with something like all the clothes here is for generic looking women or something like that and she got pissed and walked out. Went to the car and back to K-town at about 9pm.
On the ride home just more talking, more music, and the added Brittany being tired I guess. Got back to K-town and we went to Michael's diner for some grub. I noticed that one of my museum tags was missing when Brittany was wearing my hat. It was my tag from when I went to the Met and it upsetted me a little bit, but I'll probably hit that place up again so no biggie. Got something to eat and talked some more, but not the feeling that we had on the rafting game. Dinner went by fairly quickly and we decided to go to Barnes and Noble or what I like to call it the BnN. We checked out the various program tutorial books and she pointed out all the programs she knew and what not. Shes definatally way ahead of me, but now I think I know what I gotta do for college. Get the rest of these comp art programs done and then dabble in some programming. Not too sure how well I would do in that since I tried Comp Sci in high school and I kinda sucked and lost intrest.
I took Brittany home at about 11pm and she took my hat with her. Meh I'm gonna get a hair cut anyway so I dont care, besides she looks better in it. On the way home a ton of jay walkers were on 9w....wtf people you could always hit the button that allows you to walk for 30 sec. I almost didn't see them and I was going 55mph...Really retarted people. But yeah that was my day with Brittany pretty kool overall. She wants to go ice skating some time so thats probably what we are going to do next. Geez I've never gone ice skating with a girl...well there was Alysa from college, but she asked me and a group of friends and I was the only one to go...plus she was good at it. Anyway this is freakin long and I did wish I brought my digi cam for pics, but I guess you'll have to wait til we go ice skating. Thats all for now geez this is long, cyaz.
