so ive been even more busy with school work, as studying to be a doctor is really difficult. but im not going to discuss that, id rather talk about this war and all the shit around it.
first off, im going to FLAT OUT say that I HATE WAR!, so that nobody can misread what im saying. i hate the thought of war, i hate the thought of bombing the hell out of people in hope that we can change things. i have no respect for you dumb motherfuckers who are trigger happy and dont realize that we have no need to be in war. im socialist, and therefore i am for peace. granted, we've been known not to be peaceful, but that is when pigs and others try and pull some shit. ive been spit on, pushed around, and even arrested for wanting peace. why? bc the thought of war makes a lot of people sick. personally, i think that bush shouldn't stick his "yale educated" nose in other countries business, but im just a lil piss ant that nobody listens to. so we are in war now... and this is fucking pitiful.
im not one to support bush, as i am against capitalism. even though i realize how futile it is to argue against the government, it is something that creates hope for a lot of people. but it does annoy me to hear people say that it is bush's fault for the depression that has hit america. well, if you were smart enough to realize that depressions have to happen bc the economy cant be on a rise forever.
i was watching the war on tv, as im sure most of us have. its amazing to see these bombs drop on buildings and hear that the army of iraq are surrendering, but what good is it going to do? we are going to hopefully kill saddam and maybe get lucky and get bin laden, but what is it going to do? nothing. we eliminated a threat, that is only going to breed another threat. people are going to hate people no matter what. there are too many of us living on this earth, and when one jackass gets the idea to kill a lot of people, then a lot of shit happens.
the funniest thing about this stupid war is that it is about religion as well as government. personally, i think that saddam is fucking stupid making himself all these wonderful palaces and letting his people starve, but it is what floats his boat. so we've bombed the shit out of iraq and yet nothing has happened to say that this war is coming to an end. it is pointless to see soldiers die because the US thinks that they have to help everybody. we fund the israelis, and yet we have starving people in america.
i heard that saddam says that he plans to hurt america like the israelis have hurt them... bc we fund them, they have the ability to kill a lot of pakistanis and other mid-east people. why do we fund israel? bc they are christian, just like americans.
i saw this church marquee that said "if you want to put all of your fears to ease, put your faith in jesus." what good is that going to fucking do when somebody drops a fucking nuke on american soil? where is your god when you are incinerated from the blast? but the biggest problem that im having is that anti-war demonstrators are getting arrested.
i dont understand why this happening. oh, so people lay down in the streets in protest or they tape their mouths shut and write "congress" on the tape, they should be arrested? what about the guy that was arrested in the mall for wearing a "give peace a chance" shirt? did he deserve to be arrested? sure, no charges were pressed, but why should he have been arrested anyway? bc some trigger happy motherfucker who dont know anything about war except what s/he sees from the media? either way, it is retarded that we should be arrested for protesting the war.
so what is this war going to accomplish? absolutely nothing. whats going to happen is that we are going to get saddam and we are going to put some wonderful form of capitalism, or something there of, in iraq and then somebody is going to get fed up with that, and then... back to war we go.
ohhhh... the funniest thing of the war so far is that in high schools, the teachers were told to tell the kids that if they were 18, and hadnt done so already, that they had to go sign up for the war, in case they had to start up the draft. i mean, damn... think about it..... "HAPPY 18 TH BIRTHDAY! TIME TO DIE!" imagine what that does for the moral of a kid. i just hate it that if you disagree with war, and you speak out, you are condemned or called a pinko-commie or worse.
i heard on the radio the other day that actors were talking about the war, and one of the DJs said that the actors were already made, and shouldn't stick their nose in war or politics, bc they didn't know anything about them.... but what gives the dj the right to say that? does he have a degree in political science? probably not, but once again, its ok to say that war is good.
its a shame that people have to die to make the economy boom in america and its even more sad that people have to want to kill each other. my friend nick said that he could do it better than bush. well if that is true, great. but its sad that when someone voices their opinion, they get trashed by friends and strangers.
