I just got back from a trip to LA. It was my mom's 50th birthday, so my dad got the genius idea of taking her down to visit her grandparents, and incidentally visit Disneyland, which is also having a 50th anniversary (seriously my dad is a genious). Best part about it is my mom didn't know that we were going. Dad told her that we were going out for dinner friday night, my sister packed her stuff for her, and we drove to the airport. The whole time my mom is trying to guess where we're going for dinner. We get near the oakland airport and she's like "We're going to the airport?" and my dad says "Yes, they just opened a new restaraunt near the airport, so we'll park there and take the shuttle." and mom buys it. Dad tells her to go check the shuttle schedule, and while she's gone we unload the bags from the car. She comes back and literally jumps when she sees the suitcases. First words out of her mouth are "Thank god I brought my crochet bag!"

She didn't know we were going to see her grandparents, she didn't know we were going to disneyland the next day, and she CERTAINLY didn't know about the surprise party my dad threw for her on sunday. He invited EVERYBODY, including one of my mom's childhood friends, currently living in chcago. It was a great time. My dad is the KING of this kind of thing.

While we were in disneyland I played DDR (right click, save as) again for the first time in a while. I need to get back into that game. I used to be good.
