if really positive/negative then *balance* is the middle path, yes? so 'good' is no more desireble than 'bad.'
creating negative energy creates an imbalance. nature compensates by diffusion, bringing in positive energy. by converse, creating positive energy creates an imbalance, calling in negative energy to correct the imbalance.
the way to stop the ball from spinning is to simply let it stop...
