it's just going to be me and my mom this weekend. my dad is seeing his college friends for a reunion in ohio. with the first official day of fall tomorrow, it already feels autumn's setting in. there's a wetness in the air. since my sister started learning german, i've been wanting to know it too. not just make stupid status' on ichat, but actually learn it. i think with my knowledge of french and latin, and of course english, i could do it.
ffc went well today. emilia, rosie, cal and ella came, one senior, a couple sophomores, and nine freshman came, but they left after the björk music videos started playing. we watched all of michel gondry's music videos for the white stripes, in addition to one björk and beck's deadweight. deadweight is still on my list of top pieces of filmmaking. it is desert island-worthy. and when people started asking questions about the three white stripes videos, i was so glad to have known so much about them. my 7th grade obsession payed off. in case any of you are wondering, jack white was born john gillis and meg white had her name since birth. they were originally married - their marriage and divorce papers are online somewhere - and jack took her surname. i really hope these are some of the things i'll remember forever.
