Interesting post at Brandon Sanderson's blog about his herculean efforts to finish off the Wheel of Time series for all of those obsessed Jordan fans out there. How often does one get a contract with a 200k minimum word count? I found that rather amusing given today's efforts by Publishers thanks to booksellers to put thinner books on the shelves. More amusing, with pangs of sympathy toward Sanderson, that the 'final' book is going to come in over 800k and be split into three parts. Guess that's what happens when you write twelve novels with dangling plot threads in every one. I suspect no publisher will ever agree to let someone publish novels like that again. Ever. Lol.
