Drag Kings

Dylan and i went to a Drag King show on Friday night.
I really loved it. It was soooooo much better than any of the drag-queen shows here in Texas. Most of them are really pathetic... just a bunch of pretty (or not-so-pretty) t-sgirls prancing around miming to Diana Ross songs in various over-the-top gowns and dresses.

But the drag king show was brilliant.... funny and well choreographed.
But i was sad that there were so few xy persons there, and i seemed to be the only boy in girls clothes there. There doesn't seem to be much interaction here, in texas at least, between the gays and the lesbians. And i often hear vagina-phobic comments uttered by gay men who should know better. I have come to the same conclusion about many gay men, as i have about many feminists who are such obvious and unashamed man-haters..... they are as intolerant and bigoted as the very people in the mainstream, especially the Christians, whom they criticize so much.

Anyway, i like lesbians....a lot. And funnily, they seem to like me too, or some weird reason. When i am dancing in my girls' clothes at our favorite little gaybar, it is the lesbians, who, more often than not, come over and dance with me, and, a lot o the time, kind of seem to want to pick up on me...... which, i can tell you, is way cool!.
I met one o the members of the troup after the show, and we swapped email addys. I told her i would really like to write for them, and maybe record some tracks for them so that they could have some original music for their next show.
We'll see what happens.
