Refing Hockey
So I just had my first night of Reffering hockey. It was, different, but fun. It's wierd being the guy calling the shots instead of just one of the players.
So I did two games tonight. The first game was with "two tough rivals". Yea, I was real excited to hear that. It was "a difficult game for someones first time", but it wasn't all that bad, mostly because the other ref did most of the work.
The second game went a lot better. I felt a lot more comfortable with everything. Still a few slip ups now and then, but over all it went pretty well. There was only one penalty called all night, and it was a Delay of Game penalty called by the other ref. Lucky me.
