Since I spent the time writing this out, it won't do to JUST post it on the sci-fi boards. So I'ma stick it in here as well.
Dark Heresy is a brand-new RPG system based on the Warhammer 40k universe, where you play some poor schmucks who've been blackmailed/bribed/forced to help the Inquisition root out Heresy, Witchcraft, Mutants and Xenos. It also has that picture on the front with someone who looks like Steve, but older. And with a big gun.

+++ENTRY BEGINS
Being the Journal of Technographer Eisen Stein, apprentice to Magos Castus of Askelphion Secundus, eternal servant of the Omnissiah, during his service to Inquisitor Tyburn Graves, of the Ordos Hereticus.
Day 1 in the service of the inquisition.
Today I recieved grave news from my master, Magos Castus. During my daily ministration of the water coolers, I was called into his presence, and was told that I was to enter the service of the Emperor's most holy Inquisition. Apparently, an Inquisitor had done my master a favor, and granted him a gift of an STC template, found during one of the Inquisitors investigations. I was to be the return favor - my service for no less than 30 years. When I asked to see the holy template that I was to be traded for, my master refused, citing that no apprentice would lay eyes on an unchecked template, for fear of corruption. After that, he bid me ready for my journey, for I am to leave tommorow to assemble with the people I would be working with. I decided to start a journal of all events and knowledge that I would find in my journey, in the hopes that something I come across may become useful in understanding the deeper secrets of the machine.
In the service of the Omnissiah
Day 2
I borded the vessel known as the Staunch Hope, a transport for foodstuffs across the sector. However, apparently, the crew had been told to stay silent on almost everything, for I seem to have been thrown in what appears to be the brig. The only reason I do not assume I am a prisoner is that they have let me keep my weapons and armour, as well as all my other equipment. However, if I must endure this entire journey inside this dark hole, I fear I may go insane. Only the reassuringly quiet hum of the warp engines comfort me here.
Day 3
The engines have a small tick to them - I wonder if the Enginseer responsible has noticed it? Every 32.45 seconds (approximately), the engine noise increases in volume for 0.02 seconds. I wish I could be sure that this was not a fault with the engines themselves, but rather a normal thing, however, my experience with warp engines is somewhat limited.
Day 4
I have arrived, apparently. The captain of the ship used some form of gas to knock me out when we arrived, so I still have no idea where I am. However, I have been provided with somewhat lavish quaters, and a domestic servitor to see to my needs, so my situation has improved immeasurably from yesterday. Hopefully soon I will have some answers to my questions, such as what I am supposed to be doing here.
Day 5
Today, I received something of a surprise. In the morning, 3.32 hours after I had woken up, the servitor entered my room, and began playing a recorded message - apparently, the servitor was about to undergo some form of fatal error in its systems, and I was to repair it. Luckily, it was a rather obvious case of sabotage, and I fixed it within minutes, so the organic systems within did not suffer any major damage.
I have to say, this Inquisitor is a rather callous person. While I would never place a servitor on the level of a human, risking his property for some sort of test is just wasteful and careless. However, apparently, I passed the test, and I am to meet the rest of my "team" tommorow. Hopefully, I can begin my real service soon.
