Matt's Muslim Marriage (isn't alliteration fun?)
I got back from lunch and found this on my desk on Friday avo:
I looked at it in a bemused fashion for a couple of seconds before wondering next door to ask:
So guys, what's the deal?
Well we thought we'd try and find you a nice girl.
As lovely a sentiment as this could be construed as, call me a cynic if you will, I perceived it as more of an insult in the fact that they assume I have no other way of meeting a girl than at a pre-arranged marriage gathering.
I pointed out to them that:
a) I'm not looking for anyone right now, let alone a wife.
b) I'm not a practising Muslim in any way shape or form.
Hopefully they got the hint.
