Wearing a new uniform today made me feel no small amount of pride in what I'm doing, this thing was pressed to perfection and starched so heavily that it stayed that way, the clean cut look of a neatly pressed uniform actually does seem to inspire a lot more respect.  It's the difference between wearing a 3 piece suit and a tuxedo t-shirt.

It cost me about 2 hours of ironing (ironing an already dry cleaned uniform no less), 45 minutes of boot shining, a bit of luck in actually getting a decent military haircut, and 60.00's for a new cologne (Polo black if anyone is wondering.) but I looked and felt damned good today, and as a result I had a halfway decent time of things here at work.

One of the female NCOs even smelled my chest, saying I smelled really good.

Who knows, maybe there actually is incentive to not being a lazy Airman?
