I'm no expert with this livejournal thing, but I'm going to take this opportunity to stage a poll.
Is Batman Begins (2005) a prequel to Batman (1989)?
Again, I've no idea how to create actual polls, so just leave your two cents in the comment section. To clarify, I do understand that since it portrays the training of Bruce Wayne, this film addresses an earlier chronological period than any of the other Batman titles. By "prequel" I mean that the events of the 2005 film are followed directly by the 1989 film. Implications: if it is a prequel, there will be no new movie, if it is not a prequel, Christian Bale will again don the cape and cowl to square of against the Joker in a wholly new movie, independent from the 1989 film with Michael Keaton.
