I've become an obsessive NPR listener over the last couple of years. And one of my favorite shows, though I don't get to listen as often as I would like, is
This American Life. It's just mind-bogglingly captivating, even when I'm not all that interested in the subject they are covering. It just has this peaceful yet mysterious vibe of intrigue that I can't really put my finger on.
Well, a big part of that is Ira Glass. I ganked this from
heidimamee, and boy is this dead on. He's talking about journalism obviously, but this certainly applies to just about anything remotely creative:
