I'm up and starting to function on a dark Monday morning. Monday's are always a little difficult to get going (aren't they for everyone?), but I woke up feeling excited about work - strange, I know - so, I'm hopefully in for another very productive day. It is going to be crazy busy this week because I'll be preparing to be out on vacation next week, so that will just add to the pressure.
After a lazy morning yesterday Michael and I ran some errands and then had Shawn & Josh, and Wade & Bryce over for dinner, games, and to watch Michael's favorite movie of all time Big Business with Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin. Yep, I picked a gay one when I picked him.
Dinner was fun and we talked a lot about the economy and all the layoffs going on around us that we've all somehow managed to avoid to this point. I get the feeling though that this recession is one that great-grandchildren will ask about for school reports in future. Let's hope it ends sooner rather than later.
That's all I have for now. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and has a wonderful Monday.
Happy Groundhog's Day! Even if it does mean we're in for 6 more weeks of winter.
Toodles Noodles! :-)
