Having just awoken from my post-GISHWHES coma, it occurred to me that a lot of the art for bangs is quite restricted - pictures, mixes, vids, and the very occasional podfic. I mean, I have not yet seen art for a bang done in Swedish fish glued to plywood, or a scene from a fic depicted with carved potatoes and gummi bears. There's already been talk ( Read more... )

Animated OPs and EDs. :T It's my dream to have one for one of my other fic ideas, but that's just me and my fangirl talking.

Also, my fic has A DRAGON in it now. Just because.

I MEANT ANIMATED OPENINGS AND ENDINGS. FUUUU. Oh wait, that was a joke. Right? RIGHT?!

WELL MINE HAS A DRAGON IN IT, SO THERE. Although it was supposed to be fighting Dean and Jimmy but instead it went 'oh hay you hate the Levs, I hate the Levs, let me take you to them' and then they fly into the sunset the farplane off.

...yeah idek anymore.

Throw in that sunset, and I would read that fic SO HARD.

Haha, you could end up with a gif spam as your art, where it's just that scene from How to Train Your Dragon with the two viking kids flying on Toothless, but with Dean and Jimmy faces pastede on.

Okay, yes, I see what you mean now. The other day I saw a trailer someone had made for a fic, and wondered why that's not done a whole lot more often. I've now expanded that to intro/outro vids.

Could you not just watch the SPN anime and have the best of both worlds?

More of those would be amazing. '^' I actually imagine little vids playing in my head when I make fics, although I rarely pick the right music for them... my taste in music only goes to Japanese pop and rock.

I already did, actually. Did it before season 7 aired.

Do you have any examples made for live action shows? Just so anyone willing to try their hand at this new art can get a feel for how it could be done.

And, as an anime fan, what did you think of the SPN anime? I've seen a lot of bad response to it, but that was all from people who didn't watch anime at all, so.

Live action shows don't do this as much, although if you're talking about Singapore asian dramas, there's a ton of them. /CRACKS KNUCKLES One, two annnnd threeHmm. TBH, the anime's not as bad as people say. I mean, in a way there's some stuff that it can be improved on or maybe kept - they've changed a fair ton of stuff, but that's what always happens when you're adapting one thing to another. To be fair, I can understand what they've done; getting VAs (voice actors) to voice a million and one characters ain't exactly the same as getting a million and one actors. As much as I personally think stuffing two seasons into one season alone was a pretty bold move, I think it worked well. In that way, the plot and suspense is kept well without stretching things too thin ( ... )
