I remember my Jr. High School history lessons. I remember them telling us about special powers that Governors and Presidents have, one of them being the power to pardon individuals. I remember wanting to ask a question but didn't because I thought it was a stupid question to ask as the possibility of it happening would never happen. I remember wanting to ask, "can a president or governor pardon themselves for a crime they committed?"
I thought that this event would never happen in American politics. Politicians at that high level of office are constantly watched by the public and could never be that corrupt or bad where they would require a pardon.
Well, with recent event, all these years later I really wish I had asked that question that I thought was so stupid.
