Saturday night
After working all day yesterday, I brought McDonalds home for the kids and took Martha out for a nice dinner. It was nice and relaxing. After we got home we watched "In Bruges", a dark movie. Not my cup of tea, but very strong performances by Colin Farrell, Bandon Gleeson, and Ralph Fiennes and good writing.
Ok, the movie is good, if you accept it for what it is, ok but here is my complaint, and this is a spoiler, but it's an old movie right? At the end of the movie there is a suicide. Now for people like me, who have lost family or friends to suicide, you never seem to stop being shocked into morbid feelings by seeing a scene like that (I actually I saw it coming and closed my eyes but still). I went to sleep with a pain in the pit of my stomach. I wish such movies had warnings on them.
