Thank you. Some time remind me to tell you the story of the four wall colors we went through before settling on it.

From a personal aesthetic standpoint, if I were living there, I like the new situation somewhat better actually. Sorry. :(

Yes, ultimately, the new situation is an improvement overall. And if I had chosen to make the $10,000 upgrade to the house, I'd be thrilled with it.

It's odd not being able to go out that door anymore, though.

Wow...I'd really miss that door, myself, even if I had to go to the laundramat (which we do here in Butler anyway). I have to admit I prefer the light green, we're talking about colors here (house roughly the size of yours) and the first thing we agreed on was NO DARK COLORS.

If I'd been your buyer you'd be a-painting day and night...stark white.

The walls were white when we moved in. I was concerned that the dark colors would make it feel small, but we found just the opposite. Because of the high ceilings, taking the walls darker made it feel more open, ironically.

No high ceilings here (more correctly, there, since I just got off the flight back to CA)...our ceiling height varies from 7'0" to 7'8" depending whether you are in the original house, the 1930's addition, or the upstairs floor(which is half and half original and addition).

While I wouldn't likely prefer to live in a house with white walls, we'll be choosing light colors to open up the rooms, with white ceilings throughout.
