These are being used as a decoration in the restroom at a Thai restaurant I frequent. The manager had no idea they are poisonous. I told him if I kid eats one thinking its candy, he's going to be in trouble.
I remember collecting these as a kid in Miami, when I was 3 or 4 years old. They are also used at the end of the Blue Lagoon movie with Brooke Shields. They awake to find that their baby has eaten some, so she and Christopher Atkins take some too, to die along with their baby as they are drifting in the sea.
