I Stumped the Help Desk!
I'm supposed to be working from home today, only my laptop is not connecting me to the things I need to do my job. It's giving me email and instant messaging, so I can see all the requests coming in (and piling up!)...but when I try to access the files/programs/etc. that I need to get to in order to take care of these requests, it says "no, ma'am!"
So I call the help desk and after completely screwing up my connection properties and rebooting thrice, my help desk pal gives up. He's sending someone to my office tomorrow to see if they can figure it out in person. And after I got off the phone with him, I tried to get back into my email and now I can't even access that. Sheesh.
I think that stumping the help desk should come with a color certificate (suitable for framing) and a little box of chocolates. :)
