Fireworks

If you ever want to relive the days of dial-up modems, I suggest driving to the northern edge of the U.P., then piggybacking your laptop onto your phone’s data signal.

Those are all very cool. The others, 2, 3, and 5, look like neon palm trees.

Yeah! I can definitely see the 'Phoenix in flight' vibe (or taking off in a flurry of fiery feathers?). The tips of the 'wings' in blue and white make it even better.

Re the data transfer rates: been there, done that. Spouse and I took my mom on a driving tour around Lake Michigan in June, and we spend a couple of days in Munising and a couple of days in Mackinaw City.

Great photos! I love fireworks, but going to the city display here requires dealing with more traffic and frustration than I can usually cope with. So I'm going to watch a small local display with friends instead. The less spectacular explosions are a reasonable tradeoff for less stress. Looking at pictures will satisfy my urge for the bigger shells.
