LaShawn Wanak, one of the contributors to the
What Fates Impose anthology/kickstarter, being edited by
Nayad Monroe. The anthology’s subtitle is “Tales of Divination,” and I was particularly curious about LaShawn’s thoughts on divination/prophesy and how that intersects with her faith.

I knew someone who was a huge believer in horoscopes... as a personality assessment, not as a predictor of the future. So I've seen firsthand some of the relation between "Future predicting" and "personality tests". It's a fascinating juxtaposition. This makes me very curious about this story. (So does the hallway of tarot cards.)

I have done divination, but it's more in order to learn the fuller context of what's going on than to predict the future.
At this point i don't often do it often, because I am not at all sure I WANT to know the full context. :P Denial is my friend?
Also, I feel I'm getting my butt kicked sufficiently with Real Life; I do not feel the need for additional butt-kicking from my divinations. And i know for a fact that they often deliver such.
