A Thank You from the Aicardi Syndrome Foundation

Hey, what’s this? Why, it looks like a BBC article about the Aicardi Syndrome Foundation fundraiser and sexism in SF/F cover art. Now, at a time like this, there are two choices. You can squee and dance around like a little kid because holy crap, a major news outlet is recognizing your fundraiser and contributing to an important conversation! Or ( Read more... )

....my big secret is that I actually inadvertently end up in a lot of these poses. My body is not normal-human-sized, so I do a lot of contorting for comfort!

But do you do it while fighting a vampire in utterly impractical clothing? :-)

Only rarely. :)

At least that doesn't look uncomfortable-- just not really something most people would do in a Victorian skirt.

But she's not wearing most of the skirt :-p Makes it easier.

I often put one leg up on something like that, but usually it's because I want to fiddle with my shoe.

I interpreted the folds in the skirt to mean she'd pushed it way up. It could be that she's only wearing an overskirt that was sewn like that, though, true.

I think she's wearing only the over-skirt part of a two (or more) layer skirt. The full under-skirt would add a lot of bulk at the waist if it was all screwed up there.

While I marvel at the amount raised (yay fantastic!), and giggle at your cover text, I must confess that the heart within weeps in disappointment at the lack of fishnets. *anguish* No fishnets, whyyyyyy?? *also WOE*

No fishnets, sure, but more importantly, did you shave your legs for this?

And BIG congrats on the BBC article. *happy dance*

I did not shave for this one. I'm actually a little worried. Only about half the hair on my left leg is growing back in. Bad enough when I lost the hair on my head, but now my leg is going bald???

Better shave the other one so it matches :-)

See what you missed by not being a woman? There's always hair where you don't want it, and not enough where you do. It's a tough world.

It takes a surprising amount of time for leg hair to grow back to full shagginess. Like maybe a month or more? Even though there's noticeable growth after four days or so.
