Announcement: I’m delighted to say I’ve been invited to be the Toastmaster at ICON in Iowa this November. ICON was my very first Guest of Honor gig back in 2009, and I guess this means I didn’t do too bad a job

Well, it's been a busy summer for me, what with work and Taos. I am really out of the Icon loop.

I knew that Icon was meeting this week, and I knew there was a shortlist for a new toastmaster, given the sad passing of Rusty Hevelin. I also knew that Josh and Lindsay were keen for you to come back. What I didn't know was that there was a decision and an offer.

Things have ended as they should, at any rate. :) Congratulations!

BTW, I'd expect a long term gig. Icon is like that.

Crap, now I'm going to have to spend money to go to a convention again! Must find job and/or sell the heck out of crochet stuff...

Though, since I'm thinking of it, isn't the Goblins omnibus supposed to be out by then? Or is it out already and I didn't notice because of reasons? (Mom's birthday is about a month after ICON, see, and she's a huge Jig fan.)

The Omnibus comes out on July 3, actually. I think I've been failing in my promo duties there...

I fully support the selling the heck out of crochet and coming to the convention plan!
