Archy and Mehitabel

So, I'm reading this book right now that is really good. It's about a cockroach who was a poet in a former life and his nemesis/subject of a biography he's writing, a cat named Mehitabel. It was written during the depression, so there's a lot about hunger and being down on your luck. But after page 80 or so, it started getting funny. My grandfather said it was a funny book, but I was beginning to think the generational gap was too much. But he was write. It's all written in a free form poem way, short little stories. Archy Hears From Mars is my current favorite. They were originally published in a newspaper, I'm not confident which one. Anyway, if you're looking for a good read, check it out.
