Hey everyone out there in LJ land! I'm baaaaack..
Just to update you in the past two months...I'm in a great a cappella group up here at the University of Michigan, and Gimble is their name. I have 16 friends that I have the best time with at least twice a week. I always love going to rehearsal because we have so much fun, and it's a MUCH NEEDED escape from the nastiness of class and studying. Check out our webpage (designed by yours truly) at
http://www.umich.edu/~gimble Ah, studying... 15 credits of class, and I already cannot wait until next semester. You could say this first semester was the stress-mester. Chem 130 is a biyatch, and it's been biting at my ass all semester. Basically, if I get at least a 50 on the final in 3 weeks, then I pass the class. That tells you how much I have NOT enjoyed it. Calc's been fine, but going to Friday class hasn't been all that wonderful, and I've missed a few of those classes, which is not good because we have quizzes every Friday. French 231 had a rocky start, but I've gotten into my groove with it. And SE Asian History is fine, but the lectures get quite boring at times. I'm doing perfectly fine in the class, but it's just boring. I guess it's the end of the semester "want to get out of class" kind of thing.
So anyways, my next semester....by the way, I'm not doing pre-med anymore (as if I ever was!) I've switched to Pre-Architecture, so my classes next semester will consist of Architecture 201 (Basic Drawing), Architecture 212 (Understanding Architecture), and other liberal arts classes that'll satistfy my Pre-arch curriculum. Hopefully I'll get into Linguistics 211, Musicology 341, and English 124/125. Add Gimble and FASA on there and maybe even campus band (Will the sax get resurrected?!?!) and I'll have a very full plate in my lap.
Went to the John Mayer concert last weekend with my buds Nina, Nick, and Christine, and had a kick-ass time. John Mayer rules!!
FASA is great; meeting tons of people all the time, and having a great time with them. Too bad a good number of them are graduating within the next year and a half. But hey, I guess I'm the future? *lol*
You wonder, have I gone partying? You bet your sweet ditty, yeah. Night life is great up here when you know where to go, and I've been to my share of house parties, frat parties, you name it. I was supposed to go to the club last night with my friend Rosie but I've been sick the last couple of days, so poo.
Ahhh... and my hair. I've gotten highlights, so I have some brown streaks all over. Looks like da shiet. ;)
Anyways, shouts out to my new friends... Nina, Joanne, Anne Marie - we be da flip frosh!; Cecilia, Nick C, Keiko, Andy B, Christine L, John, Mark C, Jeff M, Jordan B, Scott V, Reylan, Chris M, Charlene, Noy, Jay L, Lissa, Rhea, Didi, Dayna - FASA gang! -Jim.
