Last night watched
'Yakuza Graveyard' - Yakuza no hakaba: Kuchinashi no hana (1976) : more corrupt gangs and cops plus lots of punching and jumping.

I thought my latest painting was finished until I walked into the studio this morning. It was still on the easel, not the viewing wall. Then I remembered and saw again the area that bothered me last night and still did. Didn't take much to correct. I don't think it needs anything more.

Painting I started with underpainting of Terre Verte is not dry. May not be able to get back into it until next week, so I ran chores this morning. Off to framer to get a photo framed to Lawrence gave me of a dark church in Italy illuminated by a long line of candles. Then circled round to video store to return two DVDs. Damn, both 4 disks of last season of 6' under checked out. I was due for a free one so opted for King Kong. Then up to Lamar to pick up transparencies, scan and painting at Holland. I need to web up these new paintings. The last two I think will be in the upcoming faculty show.

Time for some drawing before brunch. After eating I'm going to try and whittle down my slide presentation of undergrad to present art to fit in two carousels. I know there are too many monotypes and some drawings and sculptures I can drop. But then I need to add some recent drawings and the new paintings.

Swimming later, then openings at AMOA and Volitant to attend.
