Wow, if there is anything such as a crazy hectic day....it was yesterday! I don't think I have ever been as tired and as emotionally drained as i was! My dad went into surgery yesterday morning for his cancer. For starters i hate hospitals but whatever needs to be done ya know. Anywho halfway through the surgery the doctor came out and gave the family a couple of choices as to what can be done for my dads condition. we decided to give him what they call a kalastamy bag (I know that is totally spelt wrong, but it gives you an idea) which would be the safest bet but he will have it the rest of his life, or take a chance of not having the bag and getting a leak which might lead to an infection which could lead to another operation which would be life threatening. AGgghhhhhh! I was balling at this point. We went for the bag though. it was so hard to just think of my dad not being able to make the decision himself and we were left with the decision. I was there from 7:00 till like 3 in the afternoon. Better yet, after that i went to work! Yeah for me! He's doing better now but i still get worried. this is only the first step in a long process because i know that he still has some cancer on his prostate so that will have to be dealt with later.
