Chapitre 5
The press conference of Ryosuke and Mitsuki’s drama - Friend of Mine will start soon. They’re just waiting for the last cast, Saiyuri Minami. This is the first time Mitsuki faced many people that’s why she’s very nervous to see cameras around her. She’s not used to this kind of attention.
“Hey, are you alright?” Ryosuke moved closer and whispered to her.
“I guess so.. I didn’t think that this will be scary.” Mitsuki shrugged.
“I’m just right here beside you.” He smiled and looked straight into her eye.
“Thanks.” She replied but looked away immediately.
“Ohmy.. my heart’s beating faster!! Is it because of this conference or because he’s so near to me?! Why do I feel so uncomfortable about this?!” she closed her eyes and breathed heavily.
After a while, she realized that the crowd became noisier and the cameras are not focused on her anymore. She opened her eyes and she saw a girl walking towards the stage. She was astounded by the girl’s beauty and perfection. The girl sat beside her and she just stared at her. After some minutes, the conference started. The MC one by one said their names.
“Oh.. so this is Saiyuri huh?” Mitsuki told herself. “My rival in this drama.. or maybe in real life too?” she exchange glances towards her to Ryosuke.
“Doushite?” Ryosuke asked when he noticed Mitsuki’s glances.
“Aoh.. Betsuni.” She smiled and slowly looked up to Saiyuri who glared at her.
“What’s the matter with her? Maybe, she really likes Ryo ne. But if she became my rival in him.. this will be tough. She’s so beautiful and popular.. and while me.. just suddenly popped out of nowhere to be on this drama. I’m no match to her.” Mitsuki pouted and bend her head.
“Subaru-san? Subaru-san? Are you still here with us?” one reporter asked her but she’s still in her own world.
Ryosuke poked her cheeks and she looked at him. “oi.. are you spacing out? We’re in a conference now.”
“huh? Huh?” she asked shocked. She looked everywhere and everyone’s staring at her, waiting for her answer.
“Sumimasen.. what are you asking again?” she said embarrassed.
Saiyuri laughed silently but Mitsuki still heard it.
“He’s asking you about what you feel for this drama.” Saiyuri said haughtily.
“Since this is my first time, I feel nervous and scared but I know I’ll be able to do this ne. I’ll do my best.” Mitsuki grinned even though inside her she felt that Saiyuri humiliate her.
“I just knew this won’t be good.” She sighed.
After the conference..
“Ne, Ryoryo.. it’s been awhile!” Saiyuri punched Ryosuke at hus biceps.
“Right. By the way, this is..” he paused and looked at his back and found that Mitsuki’s not there anymore. He searched for her in the other direction and called, “Mitsuki! Hey!”
She looked back at him and said, “Nande?”
She went closer to them and Ryosuke immediately placed his arms to her shoulders and squeezed it tightly.
”This is Mitsuki, my SPECIAL BEST FRIEND.” Ryosuke said happily.
“Ahh.. so she’s the one huh. Anyway, Ryoryo.. is it okay if I invite you for a coffee today?” Saiyuri offered.
Ryosuke looked at Mitsuki. “Are we going?”
Mitsuki removed Ryosuke’d arms and she just went away.
“Ooh.. sorry for that Saiyuri. Maybe she’s not feeling very well. Possibly, we could go next ime. Ja~” Ryosuke sputtered and run after Mitsuki.
“It seems that this will be interesting. I won’t lose to you, Mitsuki.” Saiyuri whispered to herself and watched as Mitsuki and Ryosuke’s figures disappear.
