Little things add up
This has been one of those weeks where a bunch of little things has just left me in a miserable mood. First a favorite website, which I have been a member of since it started in 2003, folded. Mind you it has been pretty much dead for a bit, but I hate seeing it go. (Another site... the first poetry site I ever posted on... is joining it). Then a friend of mine has been angry at me for a couple weeks. Though that got ironed out finally, it just ate at me. I think that is why something as meaningless as an envelope not sealing just got me so mad... mind you, it is a really gorgeous stationery set I bought that the glue does not work on... and of course, after being licked and not sealing, the envelope curled up. I finally glue-sticked it in place, but my mood was already in dumperville.
I am almost glad I missed the Sprint Cup race... as Jeff Gordon wrecking out early would have put me in a gripey mood. Much more fun to watch the U.S. Open and see Lefty's 6th time as runner-up. This one was laid out as good as it could be for him and he just could not land it. Hard to believe he will get another chance this good.
Methinks there are 10 days until the premiere of Big Brother ! I have gone through extraordinary lengths to not find out anything about the season. I want to be totally surprised. It seems like it is forever between seasons, but if their longer season they are promising has the right ratings then maybe that will shorten the gap. Anyhow... just stoked to get the fun started.
