The subject line is supposed to be a howl... honoring the Phoenix Coyotes getting through the first round of the playoffs... now Phoenix truly will freeze over. They certainly got a lot of love when they got home, and the Blackhawks were one hell of an opponent.
Wow ! Penn Jillette, arguably the most intelligent of the contestants on The Celebrity Apprentice, sent home. And Clay Aiken seemed as responsible for it as anyone. Hard to believe Aubrey would outlast Penn either, but, it was an interesting week on the show. Still lots of smarm and emotional potential left among the remaining players (Arsenio has to be ready for another meltdown).
I managed to get my evaporative cooler running on the exact day when we hit the 100° F mark for the first time this year. And, barely a drop leaks from the fitting / valve (and I think the valve itself is actually at fault rather than my lousy mechanical abilities). I am not particularly good at putting things together, especially water or air lines and things like that. It is working as well as can be expected for a rusty old tin can with wet pads and a fan.
I have a hunch that Jeff Gordon is about to get his first win of the season. Last week I was really pulling for Truex late... and he came so close. I love that dive move he tried toward the end... risked kissing the wall for a shot at victory. That is the NASCAR I am used to. Not a lot of that happening lately.
